هذه مقالة عن تطور مشغلي. لقد بدأت حرفتي في مكان من بيتنا نستخدمه كمخزن وغرفة غسيل, وكنت أشارك هذا الفضاء مع أمتعتنا التي كنا نقوم بتخزينها. هذا لم يكن سهلا لأن التحكم بنشارة الخشب كان أحد المشاكل. لذا كان علي أن أقوم بتغطية كل شيء تقريبا بالغطاء البلاستيكي. وأيضا هذه لم تكن المشكلة الوحيدة. مع إزياد الحاجة لشراء مزيدا من المعدات والمواد، المكان كان يزداد ضيقا شيئا فشئا. بالتالي، لكل عمل كنت أقوم به، سواءا صغيرا أو كبيرا، كان علي إخراج كل الأدوات والمواد اللازمة ومن ثم إعدادها للعمل وثم إعادتها إلى أماكنها التي كانت فيه. وهذا كان يأخذ معظم الوقت. بما أنه كانت هناك شرفة ملاصقة للمخزن، فإن هذا الوضع ساعد قليلا. ولكن كان من الواضح مع تقدم الوقت، بأني كنت بحاجة لمكان أكبر.

This is a post about the evolution of my workshop. I started in our storage/laundry room, sharing my space with our stuff that we store. It was not easy since the saw dust control was an issue. So, I had to cover most everything with plastic. However, that was not the main problem. As I needed to buy more and more tools and supplies, the space was getting smaller and smaller. In effect, for any job that I had to do (big or small,) I had to get everything out, prepare it, use it, and then put back again. It was time consuming. Having a balcony attached to the storage helped a little. But, it was apparent as time progressed, that I needed a bigger space.
